1 year old fun! – Traci Branscum ~ St. Louis Children’s Photographer

I can’t believe little Oliver is already 1 year old.  I had the pleasure of first photographing him as a newborn and this past year he has changed so much.  When he first entered the world he had such dark black hair and now he is a darling little blond haired boy with lots of natural wave to it.  He has the prettiest blue eyes and when you see him you can’t help but smile with him.

Here are some pics  from his fun birthday cake smash.  It was really hot outside and he wasn’t sure if he wanted to dig into the cake.  His mom and I tried to encourage him and I think we ended up with quite a bit of cake on us.  He did manage to give us those wonderful sweet smiles during the smash though.

Of course his mom had another adorable outfit picked out for him for the session as well.  Don’t you just love his little tie!

We went to one of my favorite areas to photograph him.  I love the different buildings and little stone walkway they have there.

Thanks again “S” Family for allowing me to share this past year with you.  I have loved watching Oliver grow and change into the fun loving 1 year old he is right now.  I hope you enjoy your sneak peek and your gallery will be up shortly!

Update and Thank You’s! …Traci Branscum ~ St. Louis Portrait Photographer

Hi everyone!  First off, an update on Colby.  He was diagnosed with Pertussis for all those who don’t know already.  We are on week 2 now and not many changes yet.  They have told us to expect about 2-3 weeks before it starts getting better.  Thankfully we caught it early and everyone in the house is up to date on boosters and were treated with prophylactic antibiotics.  Unfortunately Colby is so young and hasn’t received any of the vaccine yet.  So here is my shout out to all those regarding vaccinations.  I know there are mixed feelings regarding them but I promise you if you had to witness my 2 month old struggling like he is with this gasping for air cough you would reconsider it.  Please keep your vaccinations up to date!

A huge thank you to all that have called and emailed checking on Colby.  We really appreciate all the concern for him and are thankful to have such caring family and friends!

I have several sessions to edit and post and I promise I am working on them any spare moment I get.  Thank you for your patience during this time. We head back to the Dr. this afternoon for another check on Colby and I promise to keep everyone updated and catch up soon!

My sweet little Colby man…

The Pitts Family ~ Traci Branscum – St. Louis Family Photographer

What a fun way to start back after my maternity leave.  I had the pleasure of photographing my friend Diana and her amazing family.  These boys have such style just like their parents.  I love it when clients have a vision of what they want and of course Diana did just this.  She had scoped out locations and wanted a fun urban shoot.  So we headed to downtown St. Charles industrial area by the river.  I loved capturing this family just being themselves.  You can tell how much these kiddos love their mom and dad and visa versa.  Fun family and cool location makes for a fabulous session – thanks Pitts family for allowing me to capture your family photos.  I hope you enjoy your sneak peek and your gallery will be up in a few days!

Sessions and maternity leave … Traci Branscum ~ St. Louis Children and Family Photographer

Well, maternity leave is officially over.  I know I have said it in previous post but I just can’t believe how fast time has gone by and that Colby is 7 weeks old already.  Just wanted to let everyone know that I am now booking sessions for the summer.  There are still a few slots available in June so call or email to book your session.  This is a great time of year to have portraits taken while everything outdoors is still green and flowers are in full bloom a lot of places. It is also a fun time to go for a fun urban setting!   I will be announcing a special that will run the month of June this weekend so don’t forget to check back on the blog or better yet subscribe to follow me and get updates instantly.

So of course I can’t say goodbye to maternity leave without a picture of Colby.

Mother’s Tea – Traci Branscum ~ St. Louis Children’s Photographer

Brynnley had a special Mother’s Day tea at her preschool a few weeks ago.  This is her 3rd year at St. Luke’s and each year I look forward to the tea.  The kids put on a program and make special gifts for the moms.  This year they made us visors. They also make all the food and serve us.  Here are a few pics from the special day.

I had a wonderful Mother’s Day this year and am truly blessed to have 3 happy and healthy children.  Brynnley and Blane have such unique and different personalities and I am sure Colby will soon be displaying one of his own.  They are amazing children and make me one proud and happy mom!
