Busy Week and loving it… Traci Branscum ~ Children Portrait Photographer–Fenton, Missouri

What a busy week this has been.  I have had the pleasure of photographing a military homecoming, an oh so handsome six month old and a beautiful 4 month old.  Check out what I am working on now.  Isn’t she beautiful!  Lots of sneak peeks and blog post to come.

Sweet Baby Camille ~ Traci Branscum ~ Newborn Portrait Photographer–University City, Missouri

So everyone knows that I love my newborn sessions!  I get so excited when a mom to be contacts me to set up a session and start planning for it.  This session came up after sweet Camille was born and already 2 weeks old.   We quickly worked out a time for the session and went over all the details.  I always give my moms plenty of tips and suggestions on how to get the most from the session.   Camille’s mom did perfect and had the house nice and warm.  We were sure sweet Camille would go into a precious baby slumber.  Well, let’s just say Camille decided she wanted her mom and I to see her awake for the session.  So we worked for awhile and got some beautiful photos of Miss Camille and her mom.  I also got to peek at Miss Camille’s nursery.

I love the whimsy and fun feel to this little girls room.  The soft coral paint is just perfect with the mix of oranges, pinks and teals.

How cute is this…

And fun little artwork…

I see many of stories being read in this cozy spot…

Photographing newborns can sometimes take quite a bit of time. I always try to make mom and everyone feel comfortable during the session.  We can take plenty of breaks and even split the session up if we need to.  This was the best plan for Miss Camille because when I got back to photograph her she was ready for that perfect baby sleep!

Isn’t she beautiful!

Camille63

I even managed to catch her in what must have been a perfect little dream…

Camille74

I also love incorporating family items in the photos.  Photos are here to serve as memories and what better way then to utilize them in the photos.  How cute is this bear of Miss Camille’s.  I also love how the sun light was shining in the room.

We also made sure to capture the perfect baby toes and tiny little fist.

There were so many beautiful photos from her session!  I hope mom and dad love the sneak peek and enjoy seeing their gallery soon!  Thanks again for allowing me to the opportunity to share such a special time with you all.

Another favorite to end the post!  Call or email if you would like to schedule your newborn session.

Vacation Memories … Traci Branscum ~ Family Portrait Photographer ~ Fenton, Missouri

So when I think about vacations the first thing that comes to mind is the memories.  These 2 little girls belong to one of my bestest friends and as mentioned in a previous blog post we vacationed together this summer.  It was the girls first trip to the beach and I loved being able to witness their excitement over the beauty of it.  So the photos from this session had the perfect timeless memories feel that go along with vacations and I love how they turned out in classic black and white.  I love how you can feel the emotions expressed from the adorable girls while they played around on the beach.  I hope you love the photos as much as I do Erica!  Your girls are so special to me and absolutely beautiful!  Thanks for allowing me the opportunity to photograph them.

OpLove Session ~ Traci Branscum–Family Portrait Photographer–Fenton, Mo

So this past Labor Day I was honored to shoot another Operation Love session.  Those that follow my blog know that I support our troops and their families in the huge sacrifices they make for our country.  My way of saying “thank you” is being involved in Operation Love.  I was honored when I was contacted about the session and was so glad I was available during the short time they had together before he had to leave for Afghanistan.

See the beautiful bride flew in for a weekend to meet her hubby here in St. Louis while he had a weekend leave from Fort Leonard Wood where he had been doing some extensive training to prepare for his deployment.

After a short time of getting to know one another it was apparent how much these two love one another.  They are in the wonderful newlywed phase and I loved hearing them talk about their future together.

This couple is from the east coast so this hot and humid Missouri weather was definitely a change for them.  They handled the sticky heat perfectly and managed to laugh and smile thru the session.

So I recently got to meet back up with the M family.  It had been almost a year since I saw them last and goodness these kiddos are changing.  Miss Brooklyn has such the personality and loves the camera.  She is full of poses and smiles!  Mister Jace was most eager to show me around.  Full of energy and smiles as well!  I had a fabulous time hanging out with you all and have had such a hard time narrowing down just a few to show you for your sneak peek.  Your gallery will be up shortly!

For all those thinking they would love family photos but dread getting everyone together and stress over location and such.  This session is a perfect example of the day in the life type sessions. These are done in your home where your kids can be themselves.  We play and explore things and capture your children being just them!  Call or email to inquire about scheduling a session!

Beach Photos … Traci Branscum ~ Family and Children Portrait Photographer ~ Fenton, MO

After posting a few candids from our fun trip to Florida with friends it’s time to post a few from our beach session.  It seems my latest rush of sessions have been families with little ones.  So it was a bit of a change not playing peek a boo, simon says or pat-a-cake for this duo.  We headed down to the beach in Destin, FL on our last night there.  Of course being the last day of the trip everyone was fighting a bit of a sunburn but what troopers these guys were.  I can’t believe how grown up they are becoming.  It seems like just yesterday the youngest one was falling asleep in his high chair when I would watch him.  They are both amazing young men , all ready becoming such gentlemen and their folks are doing a great job teaching them all of their wonderful attributes.

So first up the duo…

barbre33

The teenager.  The trooper who put up with 4 other little kids under the age of 6 for the trip.

barbre19

And of course the not quite yet a pre-teen….who probably had to put up with the most from the teenager and 4 other little kids…LOL

It was tons of fun capturing some photos of your boys Stacey!  You know I think they are wonderful and we had a great time with you all.

Summer Vacation … Traci Branscum ~ Children and Family Portrait Photographer–Fenton, Missouri

Well,  with Brynn being back in school and Blane starting pre-school it is a great chance for me to reminisce about all the fun things we were able to do this summer.   Two of my bests girlfriends and I headed out on a trip to Florida with our kiddos.  Colby being a bit to little still to handle this trip spent some fun times with the grandparents.  So the 3 moms headed out with 6 kids.

We spent a fun afternoon at Shell Island.  This is a quaint little beach you arrive at via ferry.  The plus side is that it is a secluded area so you don’t have to fight crowds or such.  The down side is you have to pack everything you will need for the day and no bathrooms!  The kids loved it!

There was lots of sandcastle building and shell hunting.

Plenty of wave jumping!

Lots of sand burying as well…

Hot Summer Day with the “S” Family ~ Traci Branscum – St. Louis Family Portrait Photographer

This heat wave sure has been tough on all of us.  This wonderful family were such troopers in making it through their session in this awfully hot weather.   We even managed to get smiles out of everyone!

We met up in Tower Grove park to capture some family photos.  It has been over a year since I last saw the “S” family.  Wow, how their kiddos have grown and changed.  They are wonderful kids with fun personalities!

Here are a few from their hot summer day session.

Meet Miss Karlie …. Traci Branscum ~ Newborn Portrait Photography Fenton, Missouri

I have anxiously been awaiting Miss Karlie’s arrival.  Mom contacted me back in March to discuss her due date.  You might remember the gorgeous mom to be from here.  As beautiful as mom is I knew Miss Karlie was going to be absolutely perfect.  What a doll she is and absolutely perfect for her newborn session.  We got so many wonderful shots it was hard to narrow down a few to share, but here are a few of my favorites!
